Ok, so it looks like I might be going to NightBeat after all. For a while it looked impossible, but I think it will work now. Is anyone else going to see any DCI shows this summer? If not, YOU SHOULD BE!!!

For us non-band people, what is "NightBeat" and why should I care about seeing DCI (whatever that is) this summer??? ;D

For us non-band people, what is "NightBeat" and why should I care about seeing DCI (whatever that is) this summer??? ;D  Ok, DCI could have probably been called "Drum Corps" in my last post and you might have known what I was talking about. If not, "Drum Corps" is a religious experience for band geeks, wherein various (for lack of a better synonym) Marching bands, comprised of the most talented brass and percussion players in the nation, come together and compete. "NightBeat" is a specific competition, held in Charlotte in July. It is a great show, and some of the best drum corps out there will be in attendance. Everyone who has never experienced a "corps-gasm" as Tommy calls it is missing out on one of the finer things in life. Any more questions? Matt |
