Ok, guys... at the meeting Monday night, there was some drama over the content of the webpage, as well as the layout. All I have to say is this:
IT IS YOUR WEB SITE!
Jason and Joe merely build it and keep it up to date, and I merely make sure that gets done (on top of list and forum administration, of course). If you have ideas for templates or content, or any complaints about what is up now, there are a couple of things you need to realize:
1) We will NOT know what your idea is unless you tell us about it. Email and the forum are the best ways to do this, because they allow us to review what you said, and ask questions, without having to find you and have you explain it over and over again.
2) If there is something you don't like about the site, you can be sure that we will make every effort to accomodate you. BUT... please don't email us and complain about things unless you have an idea of how to improve them. Everyone thinks differently, and your ideas of a good website may be things that never occured to us.
Also, please realize that there is a Guideline set forth by Lyrecrest that we follow. If your ideas violate those guidelines, or you have an issue with something that was done to abide by them, please understand that we are only following the guidelines, and are not ignoring you.
I hope this post does not offend anyone, that was not my intent. Please, feel free to use this thread to post ideas of ways to improve the site or the message board.
