Welcome to the first ever Weekly Thread. I'll ask a question to spark discussion, sit back and watch some responses, and sometimes even throw in my 2 cents worth.
This Week: What aspirations do you have for our chapter this coming year?
Remember, this is an open board... so *careful* what you say.

I hope to have a strong pledge class while keeping the closeness of brotherhood we had this past semester. Hopefully we can do more stuff with the probes like just chillin at someone's apartment for a night or something like that.

I hope we all try to get to know the pledges better than we have in the past years.

Brothers, Well there will definitely be a lot more bonding going on. I hope too, that with things that I have planned that we can get to know the PMs better and more completely. I'll explain in detail when we get back to school...HOLLA!

After watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail yesterday on the way home from our DCA South tour.... I think we should bring back the mandatory watching of this movie like in the past!

my aspiration (sounds like a synomnm for "crack sweat" doesn't it?)...my aspirations for the upcoming semester/year is that the brotherhood become a complete brotherhood. where anybody can be counted on to do anything asked and/or expected of them. then, we can start seeing things really take off.

What Chris P. said basically summed up my thoughts. I'm not even gonna try.

Well if we're going to make Monty Python mandatory, I say that we add another movie to the list...the greatest movie of all time: The Godfather. This movie has so many lessons to be learned, and its one helluva flick! And besides, I'm not too much in favor of British Comedy. Sorry guys. HOLLA!

Well my aspirations for this year are quite obvious: to develop the truest fraternal spirit, to educate, and to increase my knowledge by going to all my classes! I think with the help of all of us, we can educate not only our PMs, but also ourselves. We've got a lot of work to do this semester and with everyone pitching it, its gonna be a blast! (sorry to sound corny) HOLLA!

You know, I have a list of movies that I HAVE to see and The Godfather Trilogy is on that list. Coincidentally, just the other day I watched the very end of it. Kam the only reason you don't like Monty Python is because you weren't forced to watch it as a pledge. It too has lessons about life and brotherhood and fairness. Albeit you have to have a very open mind and think quite esoterically. The underlying satire of MPATHG is very good. oh well..... Movie nights shall commence

About the MPATHG thing, you know, I've tried to watch it. And maybe you're right about the reason why I don't like it. But if that be the case, someone needs to sit me down and point out all the "esoteric" points in the movie. However the case may be, the movie still isn't funny lol HOLLA! P.S.- if y'all have some movies you think should be mandatory, email them to me or post them (preferably email) to let me know what they are and why they should be manditory...SLIBFS!!
