First, I would like to say welcome to the HB Forum. I just had a few things I wanted to say.
1) This should NOT replace the listserve. This forum can be used IN CONJUNCTION WITH the listserve to ensure that brothers stay informed. However, this message board IS NOT a closed board, ANYONE can read it, and ANYONE can post. So *be careful what you say*.
2) Thank you to all of you who came to my wedding. It meant a lot to see you there. All of you that weren't there... . Just kidding.
3) The Administrator of this Forum is our Webmaster, Kris Stanton. He has supreme power over this forum, within the confines of his job description. He has delegated primary control of the forum to the Assistant Administrator (see below), but retains the Administrator position due to the fact that he set it up, and I don't feel like giving up my current account to take over that one. Any decisions made by him may be appealed to the chapter executive committee.
4) The Assistant Administrator (An equally-empowered Administrator) of this Forum is me, Matt Hall. I have the same abilities as the Administrator, and am primarily in charge of this forum. Any decisions regarding this forum made by me may be appealed to the chapter executive committee.
5) The Moderator of this board is currently a vacant post. This moderator position can only lock/unlock threads and "sticky" threads to the top of the list, so they don't descend when not posted to.
6) No, we are not lookin at listing anyone else as a moderator (to my knowledge) .
7) This forum is in place to encourage "idle" communication between brothers. Rules are posted, and they will be strictly enforced. You may feel free to start a new topic at any time, as long as it is not attacking a brother or a faculty member. Threads which turn into "flame wars", or become nothing but arguments, will be locked.
8) I will probably start the "Weekly Topic" again soon, but on here this time. If someone else would like this responsibility, or to alternate weeks, let me know.

EDIT: Wanted to add that if you choose to upload an avater (the little picture under the username, in my case a South Park version of myself), feel free. BUT, Yahoo and Geocities DO NOT allow photo linking, so if the picture you want to use is on one of those domains, it won't work.
